Reasonable “fair wear and tear” refers to the ordinary use except for normal deterioration in the condition of the premises and its fixtures and appliances used by the tenant. However when to determine a repair or a replacement lies within a thin line of perceptions of individuals. Often Real estate salespersons we may be caught in-between our landlords and tenants. In this course, attendees will learn the possible steps from various case studies as general guidelines in resolving such disputes. With more than 25 years of experience, Ivy Eyu, a veteran in residential tenancy transactions, would be sharing using real life case studies.

At the end of the course, participants / learners will be able to :

  1. Comprehend guidelines on residential leasing.
  2. Recognize tenancy matters on repairs.
  3. Assess and differentiate minor and major repairs.
  4. Discuss possible solutions and advice to tenant(s) and/or landlord(s) in tenancy disputes.
  5. Apply systematic approaches when handling common problems between landlord and tenant.

 

About the Trainer

Ivy has been a seasoned and well-known real estate agent since 1996. An accomplished, dynamic, and client-driven professional, Ivy consistently goes the extra mile for her clients. Her extensive experience spans residential properties, with a particular expertise in handling unique HDB cases involving divorce, bankruptcy, and the death of ownership scenarios. Ivy’s exceptional ability to analyze and provide tailored real estate solutions has earned her the respect of both her clients and fellow agents.

In addition to her role as a full-time real estate consultant, Ivy has served as a company trainer since 2013. Her interactive case studies offer enriching learning experiences for all participants. Ivy is an ACTA-certified trainer and the developer of various CPD programs for OrangeTee & Tie Pte Ltd. She has been recognized as OrangeTee’s Outstanding Trainer for consecutive years since 2013.

In 2017, Ivy completed a Diploma in Adult and Continuing Education (DACE), focusing on developing adult learning programs for real estate agents in CPD programs. Furthering her expertise, she pursued estate planning studies, earning her AEPP certification in 2020. Ivy’s dedication and commitment to excellence were acknowledged with her recent promotion to OrangeTee Principal Trainer in 2022.
