Course Synopsis:
The course aims to provide participants with the understanding of the need to comply with the new standard of raised professionalism in property transactions.
The new guidelines and expectations of estate agents and salespersons relative to their relationship to clients will be highlighted based on the Professional Service Manual (PSM).
Salespersons will be guided through the practical considerations of the PSM and the earlier requirements laid out in the Practice Circular relating to Conflict of Interest, Power of Attorney, Use of Cheques and Money Lending.
Additional topics include but are not limited to due diligence, the higher duty of care to vulnerable clients, offering of professional advice to clients etc. with reference to practical situations.
The course objectives will be to reinforce estate agents and salespersons on the new standard guidelines to ensure salespersons render their services competently, professionally and ethically with the aim of promoting open, far and honest real estate transactions.
Course Objective(s)
- Understand the relevance and key areas of the Professional Service Manual.
- Understand the Client and Estate Agent/Salesperson relationship ie roles/ responsibilities /obligations under PSM
- Know the performance standard expected of the Salesperson in this relationship.
- Practical implementation of various terms and conditions of the appointment.
- Required documentation and administration of the appointment/conclusion of the appointment.
About the Trainer
Mark Gansham
Mr Mark Gansham graduated from the University of London with a Bachelors’s Degree in Economics. He is also ACTA (Advanced Certificate In Training And Assessment) qualified, a pre-requisite to training WDA’s Workforce Skills Qualification (WSQ) programs.
Mark has been a real estate practitioner for 18 years and has vast experience in sales and lease transactions of both the public and private residential market. He has vast knowledge in areas of HDB and Private Residential Properties. Mark has extensive experience in Real Estate training. He is involved in training in the Area of Rental & Sale of Public and Private Properties as well as Skills-based training.
