COURSE AIM

With the introduction of CEA’s Practice Circular for Estate Agents on Guidelines for Developing Standard Operating Procedures on 10 Oct 2017, Estate Agents (EA) and Key Executive Officers (KEO) who are responsible for the operations of the Estate Agency, have to ensure proper documentation to be put in place for administration, management of the business and supervision of their salespersons.

 

The workshop aims to equip EAs and KEOs with skills to review the various business functions of the company, set key performance indicators and develop operational plans for their agency. Ensuring good operational plans will aid the setting up of the documentation in the development of their operational procedures to meet CEA’s compliance when the Practice Circular takes effect from 1st May 2018.

 

COURSE OBJECTIVES

At the end of the course, the course participant will be able to successfully perform the following: –

1) Review background of critical business functions of the organization and determine functional objectives in relation to specific time horizons;
2) Develop operational plans to support achievement of organizational and business function strategies;
3) Set key performance indicators to assess operational plans;
4) Report operational plans to relevant stakeholders for endorsement purposes.


TARGET AUDIENCE

This course is tailored for KEOs and Operational Managers who are actively involved in the administration and operations of the real estate agency.

 

ASSUMED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Learners are assumed to: –

1) Understand how the business environment and relevant trends impact the organization;
2) Understand relevant organizational strategies, objectives, culture, policies, processes and products/services;
3) Understand managerial roles and accountabilities for organizational key performance indicators
4) Have business management skills and business acumen to develop and establish operational plans
5) Have strategic visioning and decision-making skills to decide on performance indicators and make recommendations to enhance organizational performance
6) Have analytical skills to determine alignment of business plans to organizational vision, mission, and values
7) Have interpersonal and communication skills to engage employees
8) Have initiative and enterprise skills to formulate operational plans for the business unit.

ASSESSMENT
Written assessment  will be conducted at the end of the course and course participants will also need to submit a SOP in either soft or hard copy that complies to CEA’s SOPs Guidelines at the end of the course. The trainer will guide participants in the creation of their SOPs.

 Eunice
  Ms Eunice Lim

  Eunice holds a Master of Science in Real Estate Investment and Finance from Herriot Watt 
  University UK. She has more than 8 years of experience in training and consultancy in the 
  real estate industry. She was the Executive Director who led her  team to manage the 
  operations and the set up of her training centre. She had attained a Diploma in Adult and
  Continuing Education and  has developed several coursewares for the training centre.

 

As a SkillsFuture Mentor and Certified Workplace Learning Specialist, Eunice contributes 
back to the industry by helping SMEs innovate and improve their organisation learning and
development. Eunice maintains her passion for training and is enthusiastic in sharing her 
knowledge and mentoring of future KEOs in the Real Estate Agency (REA) course with an 
Approved Training Provider. She also trains the Advanced Certificate in Training and 
Assessment (ACTA) course with the Institute of Adult Learning.

 

Terms & Conditions

Registration
– Registration is on a first-come-first-served basis, subject to availability.

– Registration is only confirmed upon full payment of fees.
– Confirmation email will be sent to the attendee within the week of the activity followed by an SMS reminder one day before.

Attendance / Certificate of Completion

As CPD credit hours will be awarded for this CPD activity, please remember to sign in your attendance upon 
registration and sign out your attendance at the end of the activity. A letter of completion will be sent to you via email
within 1 week. Do be informed that the Q&A segment forms part of the CPD training session and all participants to remain until the end of the Q&A segment. Participants who did not attend the course fully shall not be accorded the allotted CPD credit hours.

The CPD certificate of attendance & CPD credit hours will not be issued / awarded to you, in any of the following situations:
a) You are late for more than 15mins after the start of the session, or

b) You have to be away for more than 15mins during the session, or

c) You did not remain seated until the end of the Q&A segment, or

d) You have to leave earlier than the compulsory contact hours (i.e. before the session ends), or

e) Did not meet 100% attendance or the min requirement of the course/programme.
